These Terms govern your use of samenotes.com (the “Site”), operated by SameNotes (“we”, “us”), based in Serbia. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

What SameNotes is

SameNotes is an information and community platform that helps you find affordable alternatives to designer and niche fragrances, ranked by how closely they match. We do not sell fragrances. Purchases are made on third-party retailer websites, under those retailers’ own terms, pricing, and policies.

Affiliate links

We may earn a commission when you buy through links on the Site, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never affect our rankings — those are driven by shared-notes analysis and, over time, community votes.

Accuracy and “as is”

Match percentages, notes, savings, and prices shown on the Site are informational estimates to help you decide. Prices and availability are set by retailers and change frequently; always confirm the current price and details on the retailer’s site before buying. The Site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any alternative will smell identical to, or perform like, the original.

Trademarks and brand names

Brand and product names mentioned on the Site (for example, the original fragrances an alternative is compared to) are the trademarks of their respective owners. We reference them only to identify and describe the fragrances being compared. SameNotes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these brands, and no such affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Community content

If community features (such as votes or comments) are available, you are responsible for what you submit. You agree not to post unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringing content. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and use it on the Site. We may moderate, edit, or remove content, and limit or close accounts, at our discretion.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site — including scraping at scale, interfering with its operation, attempting to gain unauthorized access, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Third-party sites

The Site links to third-party retailers and services. We are not responsible for their content, products, pricing, or practices. Your dealings with them are solely between you and them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SameNotes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or from purchases made through third-party retailers.
